Deep Tissue Massage

About Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is aimed to break up muscle tension, adhesions (the “knots” that we feel in our muscles which are bands of rigid and painful muscle tissue), and scar tissue.
These issues are usually found within the deeper muscles of the body.

The techniques used are a combination of relaxation massage techniques coupled with a more detailed approach to addressing a specific part of your body that needs support.

People often experience deep tissue as being hard and/or painful but that is not actually how it should be. Deep tissue massages should use firm (note not hard) pressure and slow strokes to massage deep layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue that surrounds your muscles).

I saw Sarah for a deep tissue massage for my quads. She made me feel comfortable and safe, which meant I could fully relax. The best part was I still had flexibility improvement the next day. Incredible!
